Another one finished! I’m glad I finally wrapped this one up. During winter break, I was looking through unsubbed lakorns over at LakornGalaxy to see which one sounded interesting (I did not know they had a list, made my job easier haha 🫶 ). I don’t know why I decided to choose this one out of the other couples I had in mind lmao. This lakorn had none of my bias so I kinda was subbing it hoping it would turn out at least decent. I watched the first episode before deciding whether I wanted to sub it or not. Episode one looked okay so I informed the timing team it was a go. I also don’t know if I said this before but I will try to be more open minded towards lakorns, meaning try to focus on the plot/storyline and not so much on the actors. Basically try to sub lakorns that don’t have my bias in it if and only storyline sounded promising 😅.

It was an okay lakorn overall. If I have to rate it, it would be 3 out of 5 stars. I like rom coms in general but in this lakorn particular sometimes it was too silly for me and I don’t mean the sound effects they inserted but certain scenes. There were a few scenes I wished they had cut it out. The one I remember clearly was towards the end of the storyline where Pae’s dad and aunt got kidnapped by Ram and Tong along with the two Nam and that scene where the dad had to go take a shit and he kept discussing with Ram how he’ll hit this or that spot and how Ram would counterattack him. Translating those lines was SUCH A PAIN IN THE ASS! Like it was so irrelevant and time wasting. Felt forever but after going back to watch it, it was about 5 to 10 minutes. I was literally Tong in that scene 💀 I just felt they didn’t need to add such comical nuisance to a serious situation like that or any part of the lakorn really. In the end the dad didn’t even end up taking a dump 😭 The villains in here, they’re bad but their scenes became so comical that I took none of them serious. They were kind of annoying too. I think that’s all that bothered me for this lakorn. No wait! The other scene was when Eunging’s friend, Noknoi, sold her to the human traffickers to save her brtoher. Okay we understand she had to save her brother and okay great she returned the money right after but at the same time, I can’t believe she would do that to someone she called friend 😕. I’m glad Eunging did not forgive her easily but I don’t think I would ever go back to being f riends with someone who would dare sell me, regardless of the damn situation you are in. You just don’t do that to another human!!!

The leads, I’m okay with Phet. He’s a good actor. Jackie….hmm….lol. She’s not a bad actress. If anything she over reacts which probably because the dialogues required it? Idk! In my personal honest opinion, I think she’s past her prime as leading actress 😬. I cannot get into her as the leading actress for some reason. Supporting characters, the villain, yes. Leading actress, no. I’m not sure if her and Phet had chemistry either. I didn’t feel anything watching their cute scenes together so I guess they don’t have chemistry then? The second and third leads were cute. I wished there were more screen time for them instead of those villains. Pae’s aunt was sort of annoying too but thank goodness she came around. I wonder why she was so invested in Pae’s life who is her nephew whose parents were both still alive btw. I understand if she was trying to control her son Ji but Pae? Even his parents weren’t as controlling as she was. And speaking of Pae’s parents, those two veteran actors were in Rak Tuam Toong was annoying af especially the actress who played Pae’s mom in here and Mae Pong in RTT. She was adorable and cute in this lakorn! I liked how she liked Eunging the moment she heard of her and wasn’t against their relationship unlike the dad. But we know he had his reasons lol. And speaking of dads, I have a question regarding Eunging’s dad. Before he knew that she was his daughter, did you think he was into her like a romantic way or was it an innocent adoration he had for her? I couldn’t tell lol.

It was obvious the producer/screen writer was trying to get a message across for this lakorn and I think they did a good job about con artists and how we should be aware of who we meet or what we do in our lives. I thought it could have been less than 25 episodes though but that was me getting tired of the villains and their silliness. I think that’s all I have to say about this lakorn (Trying to think if I left anything out…) If you haven’t watched it and is wondering if you should, it’s good to leave it playing in the background when you’re doing laundry or cleaning your room haha. If you are still here, thank you for reading. Just a reminder though, although I finished translating this lakorn in 2024 but it aired and finished in 2023 so it’ll be under the 2023 tab in completed projects. Thanks and see you in my next thoughts on…
